Stucco Product Calculators

Stucco Scratch Coat:

SQ. FT.

• For small patches it is all right to use "sand mix" for base coat.

Larger jobs use:
bags of Portland Type I &
bags Masons Type N.
You will need approximately:shovels* of stucco sand (coarse** sand).
You will need approximately:gallons of TK-225 bonding add mix.
You will need approximately:lbs. of 1/2" chopped fiberglass strands.

We recommend rounding up on all approximations, to ensure you have enough material. Hedberg Supply does not stock all of the materials needed for Stucco Scratch Coat applications.

* One shovel full of sand weighs approximately 10 to 12 pounds.

** If using synthetic stucco, use fine sand.

Stucco Brown Coat:

SQ. FT.

• For small patches it is all right to use "sand mix" for base coat.

Larger jobs use:
bags of Portland Type I &
bags Masons Type N.
You will need approximately: (#2)shovels of stucco sand
(coarse** sand).
You will need approximately:gallons of TK-225 bonding add mix.
You will need approximately:lbs. of 1/2" chopped fiberglass strands.

For best results, let brown coat sit 4-8 weeks before finishing.
Brown coat requires a minimum of 1 week cure time.

** If using synthetic stucco, use fine sand.

Stucco Finish Coat:

SQ. FT.
You will need approximately: bags of white Portland Type I.
You will need approximately: (100 lb.) bags silica sand
(4030 most common).
You will need approximately: gallons finish lime.
You will need approximately: gallons TK-225 bonding add mix.
